TASC FOOD DRIVE(VIRTUAL) TO SUPPORT LOCAL COMMUNITY DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC
 
Telugu Association of Southern California (TASC) continually believes in giving back to the local community.
 
TASC has been organizing food drives year after another to help local food banks feed those facing hardships. Every year, about 6000 meals worth of food cans and other non-perishable items are collected through contributions from generous donors and donated to the food banks.
 
As we all have noted, the Coronavirus epidemic has prompted closures of schools and businesses. One of the major issues with the shutdown of local business operations is the increasing food insecurity in our community. Millions of people turn to food banks for much needed support. The food banks are continuing to operate to help feed those in local communities that need assistance.
 
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic which is getting worse by the day, TASC is making adjustments to their annual food drive. As we are self-isolating, we are starting a virtual food drive and are requesting monetary donations online in lieu of taking in food donations. Your generous donation will make an incredible difference for the needy people in the local community. The proceeds benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.
